Join the summer of champions at YMCA’s Summer Day Camp at Fort Mill YMCA at the Complex! Weekly activities include: field trips, swimming, group games, daily devotions, team building, crafts, summer reading, character development games and more!

AGES: Rising Kindergarten—8th
(Age group based on 2025/2026 grade level)
DATES: May 27th – July 30th
*Camp will not meet July 4th
TIMES: Monday—Friday (7:00am—6:00pm daily)
*Kinder Camp drop off time 7:30 – 8:30 AM and pick up time 4:30 – 5:30 PM.
COST: Members – $200/wk | Non-members – $270/wk

REGISTRATION

  • January 8 – Current afterschool participants
  • January 15 – All YMCA members
  • January 22 – General Public

You may reserve a space for your child by paying the full camp fee along with a $25 one time program registration fee or with a non-refundable $25 deposit for each week of camp along with a one time $25 program registration fee. The remainder of the payment is due the Saturday prior to the week of camp and will automatically be charged to the credit/debit card on file.

Change Fee: If you have to change one week to another, your deposit will transfer to the new week; however a $10 change fee will apply to each change made to the camper’s registered schedule.

*Income-based financial assistance is available for families in need. Assistance is granted on the basis of financial need. We use a sliding fee scale based on total household income.

KinderCamp

Rising Kindergarteners (must turn 5 years of age on or before Sept. 1, 2025). Kinder Camp will be hosted in the Preschool area of the Complex where campers will experience fun themed weeks, onsite field trips, swimming, and much more!

Drop off time begins at 8:00AM and pick up time is 3:00PM-4:00PM.

Little Hoots

Little Hoots Camp is for ages 3years (completely potty trained) to 5years old. Each week your camper will discover new activities, enjoy pool time, gain independence and make lasting memories. All Little Hoot Camp sessions are from 9:00am-12:30pm. Your little camper will need a nut free snack each day.

Session 1 (June 2-6) | Super Hero’s | Become a hero for the week as we explore the world of superheroes through exciting games, crafts, and teamwork-building activities.

Session 2 (June 9-13) | See How We Grow | Explore nature and learn how plants grow with hands-on gardening, crafts, and outdoor fun.

Session 3 (June 16-20) | Little Bakers | Get ready to bake and create delicious treats while learning basic kitchen skills and exploring the fun of cooking and sharing.

Session 4 (June 24-28) | Global Explores | Travel the globe through creative crafts and activities that showcase different cultures and famous destinations from around the world.

Session 5 (July 7-11) | Time Travel | Travel through time to explore the decades with dancing, games, and retro crafts.

Session 6 (July 14-18) | Creepy Crawlies | Explore the world of bugs and critters with outdoor adventures, nature walks, and hands-on activities.

Session 7 (July 21-25) | Island Explores | Embark on a tropical adventure with beach crafts, ocean fun, and island-inspired activities.

Angie Smith

Angie Smith, is a gifted writer, encourager and loving mother of four. Together with her husband, former NFL player Steve Smith, they established The Steve Smith Family Foundation, which is dedicated to providing hope and inspiration to those in need while advancing causes  close to the family’s heart – Promoting family health & wellness as well as the awareness and prevention of domestic violence.

In 2022, The Steve Smith Foundation and Mecklenburg County partnered to create Charlotte’s first behavioral health urgent care, a 24/7, 365 urgent care facility dedicated to mental health and substance abuse needs.

Angie’s commitment to her family, transparency and unselfishness, by putting other’s needs before her own, is an inspiration to all of us!

Alan Tyson

Alan Tyson is the President Architech Sports and Physical Therapy. He was the former Vice President of Sports Performance and Rehabilitation for OrthoCarolina. He is a physical therapist board certified as a sports clinical specialist, a certified athletic trainer and certified strength and conditioning specialist. He has worked with the Charlotte Knights (AAA affiliate of the Chicago White Sox) and continues to serve as a consultant to the team. Alan is also a consultant with the Carolina Panthers and Charlotte Eagles.

Alan has spoken regionally and nationally on various training topics including the foot and ankle, spine care, hip and knee rehabilitation, and he has developed two continuing education courses on the shoulder. He has written 3 books and developed specific training programs for the female athlete, the baseball pitcher, and for football players preparing for the NFL combines. Alan is also an associate editor of the National Strength and Conditioning Journal. He co-hosted a weekly radio show “Health Headlines” on 1110AM WBT with Stacey Sims and Dr. Russ Greenfield for 3 years.

Antoinette Johnson

She stands as a shining example of how one can constantly evolve, change, and grow on their journey to success. Antoinette’s story is one of resilience and determination, inspiring others to follow their passions despite any challenges they may encounter.
