Pool Party

Enjoy an hour of swim time in our pool with certified lifeguards present. Invite up to 30 guests and enjoy the open swim part of our indoor pool or the outdoor water park activities! A guest waiver form must be signed prior to the party by all attendees. All guests will be swim tested prior to swimming.  

AGES TURNING: 4-14 

MEMBER FEE: $300 

INDOOR POOL PARTY AVAILABILITY 

  • Saturdays: 3:00pm-5:00pm (please see available dates on our website for reservation) 
  • 2 Hours Total – 1 hour in the pool and1 hour in our Multi-purpose room for Food, Cake, and Presents. 
  • 4 tables and chairs will be provided in the multi-purpose room. 
  • Not Available when Outdoor Water Park is Open

OUTDOOR WATER PARK AVAILABILITY 

  • Saturdays: 12:00pm-2:00pm or 3:00pm-5:00pm (please see available dates on our website for reservation) 
  • 2 picnic Tables and Tent will be provided outside. 
  •  Only available when Outdoor Water Park is open. 

THINGS TO KNOW 

  • Full amount must be paid to reserve party. (Non-refundable, unless there is inclement weather and the Y had to cancel. Party may be rescheduled if dates are available.) 
  • 30 guests include children, parents, friends and family. No exceptions due to capacity restrictions. 
  • Parties must be scheduled 3 weeks in advance. What is on the website is what’s available. Once reservation is made, a Y staff will call within 2-3 business days to help with any details and questions. 

A party host will be provided during your party to assist you. The maximum number of attendees permitted is 30, this number includes children and adults. During the 2-hour party, you and your guests will enjoy an hour of swim time activities leaving time for cake and presents. All children under the age of 13 will be swim tested to determine the area of activities that they may enjoy. Children that receive a green band will have access to all water park activities.  We require an adult in the water with non-swimmers at all times. We will have a limited number of lifejackets for non-swimmer use.

  • All posted pool rules must be followed by party guests.
  • Swim test decisions made by the lifeguard are final.
  • Alcohol, smoking and vaping are not permitted on YMCA premises.

A party host will be provided during your party to assist you. There will be a reserved area for you and your guests which includes 2 picnic tables and an awning for shade. The maximum number of attendees permitted is 30, this number includes children and adults.

Angie Smith

Angie Smith, is a gifted writer, encourager and loving mother of four. Together with her husband, former NFL player Steve Smith, they established The Steve Smith Family Foundation, which is dedicated to providing hope and inspiration to those in need while advancing causes  close to the family’s heart – Promoting family health & wellness as well as the awareness and prevention of domestic violence.

In 2022, The Steve Smith Foundation and Mecklenburg County partnered to create Charlotte’s first behavioral health urgent care, a 24/7, 365 urgent care facility dedicated to mental health and substance abuse needs.

Angie’s commitment to her family, transparency and unselfishness, by putting other’s needs before her own, is an inspiration to all of us!

Alan Tyson

Alan Tyson is the President Architech Sports and Physical Therapy. He was the former Vice President of Sports Performance and Rehabilitation for OrthoCarolina. He is a physical therapist board certified as a sports clinical specialist, a certified athletic trainer and certified strength and conditioning specialist. He has worked with the Charlotte Knights (AAA affiliate of the Chicago White Sox) and continues to serve as a consultant to the team. Alan is also a consultant with the Carolina Panthers and Charlotte Eagles.

Alan has spoken regionally and nationally on various training topics including the foot and ankle, spine care, hip and knee rehabilitation, and he has developed two continuing education courses on the shoulder. He has written 3 books and developed specific training programs for the female athlete, the baseball pitcher, and for football players preparing for the NFL combines. Alan is also an associate editor of the National Strength and Conditioning Journal. He co-hosted a weekly radio show “Health Headlines” on 1110AM WBT with Stacey Sims and Dr. Russ Greenfield for 3 years.
